The exterior of your home comes under daily attack from exposure to the elements and environmental conditions. If not maintained properly, external aspects of your property can fall into disrepair, costing time and money whilst detracting from the overall appearance of your home. Use these five simple tips to help you keep your home's exterior in top condition, both aesthetically and functionally.

1. Promptly repair any damage.

Repair any damage as and when it occurs. Small faults and flaws may appear insignificant now but, if left unchecked, can escalate into larger problems that will cost a great deal of time and money to fix. Be kind to your budget and attend to these issues now. This initial financial outlay will prove more cost effective in the long term, preventing the need for costly, large scale repairs and restorations. 

2. Care for your cladding.

Superficial flaws can appear in your home's cladding for a variety of reasons; wear and tear, exposure, poor craftsmanship, etc. Whilst these are generally not harmful, they are unsightly. Arrange regular routine maintenance for your cladding. This may include cleaning, painting or filling of superficial cracks etc. This will enable you to prevent the escalation of any flaws and maintain the aesthetic appeal of your home.
